Believe it or not, all four of our flights yesterday were completely on time and without incident except for a very bumpy flight between Guam and Manila. Rene was very, very well behaved through all our travels and never complained about anything. Of course, having his own personal TV on the two longest flights helped tremendously! Our only problem was that all four flights were absolutely packed and we didn't have seat assignments since we booked the tickets so late, so on every leg we had to check in at the gate and cajole the agent into seating us together. To the people whose seats got moved around so that we could actually sit together, thanks!
We just finished one of the most unusual breakfast buffets ever (my favorite option was the crab and corn soup), and in a few minutes our driver is supposed to take us to some tourist attractions around Manila. So let me end this post with a few observations:
-Crab and corn soup at 9 a.m. on a 90 degree day really isn't that bad when you're exhausted and starving
-The Guam airport is about as busy as you'd expect an airport in Guam to be
-Whoever said "Getting there is half the fun" must have been able to afford at least a business class seat
Pilot Rene!

A view just outside of Honolulu airport. Why can't Indy have one like that?

Guam!

I'm sorry, is there some sort of implication that that's not heaven?
